Returns, Refunds and Cancellations
The policy for goods sold directly through the DiscUs Physical Media Shop.
Last updated: 20 August 2026
1. Scope and Australian Consumer Law
This policy applies only to goods sold directly by DiscUs through the public DiscUs Physical Media Shop. It does not apply to ordinary member-to-member Celestial Shop transactions unless DiscUs is expressly identified as the seller.
Goods sold by DiscUs come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies those rights.
Depending on the circumstances, goods must be of acceptable quality, match their description, be fit for a disclosed purpose and match any sample or demonstration model. For second-hand goods, acceptable quality is considered in light of the product's age, price, disclosed condition, photographs, ordinary wear and any issue clearly disclosed before purchase.
2. No change-of-mind returns
DiscUs does not accept change-of-mind returns, exchanges or store credit.
This includes where a customer:
- no longer wants the item or finds it cheaper elsewhere;
- orders the wrong title, format, edition or region;
- does not check compatibility before purchasing;
- enters the wrong address;
- was told about a fault or condition issue before purchase; or
- damages, misuses or alters the item after delivery.
This section does not limit rights relating to faulty, damaged, incorrect, unsafe, misdescribed or otherwise non-compliant goods.
3. Damaged, faulty, incorrect or incomplete goods
Contact DiscUs as soon as reasonably practicable if an item:
- arrives damaged;
- is faulty or unsafe;
- is materially different from its description or photographs;
- is the wrong product or is incomplete; or
- otherwise does not meet an applicable consumer guarantee.
Email support@disc-us.com.au with the order number, a clear description of the problem and any photographs or video that reasonably help show the issue. Keep the goods, parcel and packaging until DiscUs provides instructions.
A customer does not lose Australian Consumer Law rights merely because the original packaging is unavailable, although packaging may help assess delivery damage.
4. Assessment and exact-item verification
DiscUs may reasonably assess a product before confirming a remedy. We will not direct a customer to the manufacturer instead of dealing with a valid claim for goods sold by DiscUs.
A returned product must be the exact item DiscUs supplied. DiscUs may compare it with order and fulfilment records, including its barcode or other identifiers, photographs, recorded condition, inclusions, applicable security markings and packaging.
A substituted, counterfeit, altered, tampered-with or different product is not a valid return for the product DiscUs supplied. A claim may also be rejected where the problem was caused by customer misuse, damage or alteration and no consumer guarantee applies. DiscUs may preserve relevant evidence and report suspected fraud where appropriate.
These checks do not limit rights where the exact product supplied by DiscUs is faulty, damaged, incorrect, unsafe, misdescribed or otherwise fails an applicable consumer guarantee.
5. Available remedies
If a product has a major problem under the Australian Consumer Law, the customer may choose a refund or replacement. A replacement may not be possible for unique, one-off or sold-out physical-media stock; where it cannot be supplied, DiscUs will provide another remedy required by law.
For a minor problem, DiscUs may repair the item or provide another lawful remedy within a reasonable time. If the problem cannot be fixed within a reasonable time, further rights may arise.
Depending on the circumstances, a lawful remedy may include:
- repair or replacement;
- full or partial refund;
- reimbursement of reasonable return postage;
- compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss where required by law; or
- another solution agreed with the customer.
6. Returning an authorised item
Contact DiscUs before sending anything back so we can confirm the return instructions, appropriate delivery method and any evidence required. Do not send goods to an address found elsewhere without return instructions.
Where goods are confirmed as faulty, damaged, incorrect, incomplete or otherwise covered by a legal remedy, DiscUs will provide a return label or reimburse reasonable return postage where required by law.

7. Delivery problems
Contact DiscUs promptly if a parcel is delayed, marked delivered but cannot be located, returned to sender, lost or damaged. DiscUs may investigate with the carrier and request tracking details, delivery information and photographs.
Where DiscUs cannot supply an order within the promised or a reasonable time, or a delivery failure requires a remedy under applicable law, DiscUs will provide the appropriate solution.
If the problem was caused by an incorrect address, refusal of delivery, failure to collect or an unsafe delivery instruction supplied by the customer, the customer may be responsible for reasonable return, correction or re-delivery costs, subject to applicable law.
8. Cancellations and refunds
A customer may request cancellation through the order page or by contacting DiscUs. A request is not accepted until DiscUs confirms it, and cancellation may be unavailable after an order has been packed for dispatch, handed to the carrier or otherwise progressed beyond the point where cancellation is reasonably possible.
Approved refunds are usually returned to the original payment method. DiscUs will process an approved refund promptly after any lawful assessment, return or evidence requirement is complete. Bank, card and payment-provider processing times vary and are outside DiscUs's direct control.
DiscUs will not charge a restocking fee or withhold an original delivery charge where doing so would unlawfully reduce a remedy for faulty or non-compliant goods.
9. Contact and privacy
Product, delivery, return and refund enquiries: support@disc-us.com.au
Include the order number and enough information for DiscUs to understand and verify the issue. Do not send passwords, full payment-card numbers, identity documents or unrelated sensitive information.
DiscUs uses order, delivery, support and evidence information only as reasonably needed to verify and handle returns, refunds, carrier claims, fraud checks and disputes, or to meet legal obligations. Read the DiscUs Privacy Policy for details.
